“Following a recent unplanned four night stay at The Buck Inn (due to a crisis in our rental cottage), we were extremely pleased to find The Buck under the new ownership of Karen and her son Steve. From the start, they were friendly, helpful and accommodating to our needs with good old Yorkshire hospitality at their core. Having frequented The Buck for many years, it has been some time since the inn has replicated its’ “homely”, welcoming feel of days gone by but has certainly done so now. All of their team were also cheery and friendly with excellent service, food and accommodation provided. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Karen, Steve and their team for all they did and wish them all success for the future, we look forward to visiting again soon.”
“Just returned from staying at The Buck Inn for two nights with my boyfriend. What a beautiful place, lovely food and lovely friendly people. Great location for walking in the gorgeous countryside. Thanks for a lovely relaxing time, just what we needed. Do not hesitate to stay here, just book it!”
“We stayed here on Saturday 29th October for a night. We chose a double room with a four poster bed with breakfast. From the first moment we arrived the service was spot on, quick efficient and genuinely friendly.
We had a great view out into the village and along the river. The shower room looked recently decorated and was very good indeed.
We ate are main evening meal here too, both of us going for the homemade steak pie which was lovely, and with Timothy Taylor bitter on tap and a lovely fire going, who needs more.
The breakfast was the full English kind and very hearty indeed although their were lighter options available too. Again the service was spot on.
Given there is some competition in the village which I’m sure is also good, overall we couldn’t fault this place and would happily return.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. A gorgeous place in a stunning setting. Our room was cosy and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the staff were really friendly. We will definitely be back!”
